Finding Nemo 2nd Birthday Party

Isabella turns 2 on Monday and today we celebrated with a Finding Nemo birthday party with her friends. It was a HUGE success.
Here's a picture that Erik drew for her. It will eventually be hung in her room, but we also used it for a decoration at the party.
Erik is the resident Dory drawer. So it's only natural to expect him to make a Dory cake-- tada! He did a great job and it was super tasty!
And a little window decoration-- notice Isabella is dressed quite like her friend Dory.
We had two activities for the kids. I'm glad Spring finally decided to come because we were able to use the backyard. We had a magnet fishing game and a sandbox search for frogs and lizards.

The traditional (does it count as a tradition if it's only the second year?) birthday banner.
Isabella couldn't wait for her friends to try out the sandbox game. She LOVES sand. This will also be a great thing to have around for the rest of the Spring and Summer.

The kids seemed to really like the fishing game. It's fun to see how they can do these things on their own.
 Me and the Birthday girl.
Just a shot of the backyard fun.
As usual, she was VERY excited to have her Auntie Jo-Jo at the party. And Aunt Jo-Jo was a great sport to hang out all the little ones. Isabella made her hold all the frogs and lizards that she found in the sand.
 Family picture before the cake.
She tried so hard to blow out the candles, eventually we helped her out. And boy did she love when everyone sang to her.

The eating the cake part was pretty good too.
 Yum!

Thanks to all our friends and family for celebrating with us!
