Isabella LOVES road trips and she was so well-behaved the ENTIRE time. She got an A+... the rest of us, not so much.
Our first stop was Toledo, OH, where we were able to catch up with a college friend and her adorable family.
We had to stop a lot along the way for bathroom breaks, nursing breaks, and playing in the park breaks.
Our next stop was Chicago, IL to visit my cousins. It had been way too long since we got together and Isabella got to meet her second cousins as well. They are all older, so she had so much fun running around with them. It was impossible to get a good photo of them all, so this is the best we could do.
Next stop was South Dakota! We were able to spend the fourth of July with my sister and her family. The town had a little festival that we went to, but the girls are still too young for the fireworks at night. They enjoyed the snappers on the driveway, but even our tank races were a little too much for them. Marissa and I went to see the big fireworks by ourselves later. The town did a very nice job.
The girls had a blast playing together as usual.
Then we headed South to Missouri to stay with Grandma and Grandpa for awhile. Isabella had lots of plans for them. She wanted a manicure and pedicure first. Then we pulled out the old slip and slide.
There was plenty of park time.
And Isaiah got to snuggle with grandma and grandpa. Giving my back a break.
It was a great visit, as usual. And always sad to leave.
Isaiah turned 6 months!
Started solids! This boy loves to eat.
